Sorry, I meant to decrease the value for the tolerance.
Do you have the same problem if you change the value to 1 or 2 instead of 5?
If yes, try the following for debugging purposes:
1) Use built-in symbols from MapGuide instead of your own symbols for the
point layer.
2) Use different scales and symbol sizes for representation, so the symbols
don't overlap in your map.
