Hello folks, is there a way to create a link to metadata for each map layer
in the legend? We can do this using tooltips for each layer but it would be
more efficient to hover over each map layer in the legend to see its source
and other metadata. Another option could be an icon beside each layer that
could have a link. thanks and happy new year.

Metadata requires someone to enter it somewhere.

It depends where it is entered. If it is a text file, you can create a
link. If it's in a database, maybe a php page can render the metadata.

Metadata is only as good as the person tracking it. Once you have nailed
that, the link to the metadata is a simple URL (invokereport).

We have an sqlserver database with metadata that we have entered and that we
are tracking. So is it possible to create a link within the map legend for
each individual map layer? Would this work by selecting one map layer in
the legend or just hovering over it?
thanks
